Joyce Young OBE launched her company By Storm in 1993 and has been dedicated to her wedding business over the past 20 years, creating elegant and sophisticated dresses and outfits for the bride, her family and friends, be it the mother of the bride, the groom, the flower girls or the team of bridesmaids. Joyce loves weddings and ever since her daughter Susie got married, she feels even greater empathy with her brides and mothers having had the excitement of organising her own daughter’s wedding.

Joyce always speaks with love of her brides and the work process:

‘We never take for granted how lucky we are to be chosen to create the most important dress in a girl’s life. By the time our clients leave us we feel we have become friends and share in all the excitement of the run up to the big day. We love receiving the photographs and feedback after the wedding – it makes us feel very much part of the day.’

We have a small collection of couture styles to choose from and we can design a dress individually for you. Our designs are created from the finest silks and French laces and you can trust us for an excellent bespoke service.

Stylish and sophisticated mother of the bride designs, individually made to measure for a perfect fit. Our newest designs for 2015 feature seductive hues, luxurious fabrics and original and flattering silhouettes.
