On Sunday 29th January we spent the afternoon in the Thrill Room in Rox in the Argyll Arcade Glasgow. We met lots of brides and grooms who came in to choose their wedding bands. It is a stunning setting and we loved having the dresses displayed in the mirrored luxurious surroundings of the most fashionable jewellers in town.

Look out for further evenings coming up designed for young couples who are starting to plan their Big Day

Looking forward to joining fellow exhibitors Mood Flowers, Special Days Cakes and The Blytheswood Hotel Spa among others in the spectacular Thrill Room on the first floor at ROX Jewellers in the Argyll Arcade . ROX are the multi award winning brand who are first for style and innovation. Choosing your ring in such luxurious trend setting surroundings makes the occasion even more special.

Two models will be wearing our dresses with matching jewellery and I will be on hand to discuss your ideas for your perfect wedding dress with you. The exhibition is small, friendly and luxurious and all brides- to- be are welcome to come along with your fiancee, mum or friends. Your Wedding Exhibition Aberdeen AECC

We had a very busy weekend chatting to lots of lovley brides- to- be and their mums at the AECC last weekend. We love Aberdeen, everyone is so friendly and the exhibition is very well organised. Only sorry that we didn’t have longer to spend in the city.

We are busy preparing to take the new collection up to Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre this weekend to exhibit at the Your Wedding Exhibition run by Grampian Wedding Directory. If you are in the North East of Scotland this is the biggest wedding show in the area and well worth visiting to get an overview of over 200 exhibitors who can help you with all the plans for your big day. We will be taking part on the catwalk and have a stand at the show where we look forward to seeing you on either Saturday or Sunday.

Wedding dress fit for a Princess

Happy New Year everybody !

If you have your wedding coming up in 2012 you know this is going to be a fabulous year for you. So much to plan and look forward to. Plan well in advance so that you can enjoy every minute with your fiancee, family and friends on the run up to your big day.

Final photo shoot for the 2012 Joyce Young Collection wedding dresses completed in the studio today. Our 2 beautiful models look fabulous in the new styles. I’m hoping to upload all the new images over the next week.

Mother of the Bride/Groom Photoshoot 2012

In the photographer’s studio last week for photoshoot of next season’s styles for moothers of the bride and groom. Lots of great photos taken it always takes longer to choose which ones to use than it does to take them ! I’ve been pouring over the images for days. Finally made all the decisions so hope to start uploading them next week.

One more photo session to go for JMY wedding dresses. Back to the studio next week again.

Photoshoot 2012 Bridal Couture designs

Very busy over the last few weeks organising photoshoots, choosing models and venues for the new 2012 Vintage Collections. Decided to keep mother of bride in the studio with white backdrop for continuity and go on location for Couture brides. Got a brilliant day on Tuesday with sunshine and a bit of snow lying as we filmed in the indoor warmth of Mar Hall and looked out at the snow through the magnificent window. Just as well we missed the gales on Thursday ! Took days to chose the images as there are so many lovely ones. First priority the adverts for Scottish Wedding Directory now going to press. Will be starting to put them on the website next week. Here is one shot taken while we were setting up. Come back to see more next week.

Country Living Christmas Fair at SECC Glasgow

We will be setting up our stand on Wednesday at the SECC Glasgow . This is the 3rd year we will be exhibiting at the Country Living Christmas Fair with our Tartan Spirit Collection. This year the stand number is B16 next to Dubarry. It’s a great day out and there will be lots of ideas for Christmas gifts at the show. The exhibition runs from Thursday 17th Nov. till Sunday 20th Nov. We will have lots of bargains on the stand with special show discounts on our tartan silk accessories and cashmere cardigans. Look forward to seeing past and present customers there.

Joyce Young - Vows Industry Award Winner

On Monday 7th November the best suppliers in the wedding industry congregated at the Hilton for the prestigious VOWS Awards celebration.

VOWS (Voted Outstanding Wedding Supplier) recognises suppliers in the wedding industry who have gone above and beyond their customers’ expectations to provide superb service.

All the categories are voted for by the customers.

We are delighted that the pinnacle award, “The Industry Award”, for top wedding supplier in the Scottish Wedding Industry has once again been awarded to By Storm.

We have been nominated every year since 2005 when the awards were inaugurated. In 2005 we won both the Industry Award and Best Bridal Designer, in 2007 we won Best Bridal Designer and in 2011 we have won the overall prize the Industry Award for our service to customers and promoting the Scottish Bridal Industry.

We would like to say a huge big THANK YOU to all our lovely brides and mothers who took the time to vote for us.
