Our new day dress launch takes place in our Glasgow showroom on Thursday 28th November from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
We are excited to unveil the additional styles and colours that we have added to our range . Models will display the dresses as well as lots of fashionable gift ideas. Our new colourful range of faux fur collars and cuffs and quirky headbands compliment the dresses and make fantastic outfits for the festive season.
The concept behind this collection comes from believing that there are few dress collections on the high street that cater for women who don’t conform to an hourglass figure, who are maybe carrying a little bit extra around the waist nowadays and who no longer want tops of arms exposed. Our Casual Chic Collection is designed to be flattering and kind to the figure, relaxed but smart, in soft crepe which comes in a choice of 18 colours. Ideal for wearing from day to evening . You can purchase from stock or have your dress made to order in size 1 – 5 (8 – 24)

The Story Behind Casual Chic
Award winning Scottish designer JOYCE YOUNG OBE has spotted a gap in the market for casual chic dresses and tunics for stylish ladies in their prime.
“As a designer with 25 years experience designing made to measure outfits for mothers of the bride and groom I am first to realise that very few of us come in standard sizes. We are ladies in our prime who are comfortable in our own skins, assertive, fashionable but not fashion slaves, we don’t seek approval. We don’t follow fashion but look stylish, we know what suits us and we also like to cover our arms and don’t like to wear anything tight around the waist as our waist and tummies are a wee bit bigger than they used to be!
Lifestyles are busier and more casual nowadays, we often don’t have time to go home and change for the evening. I believe these dresses will carry us through from day to play looking smart but casual with the addition of a scarf or statement necklace.
It is said that we wear 20% of our wardrobes 80% of the time.
